Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is a disease that causes acid reflux producing symptoms such as chest pain, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting.

The purpose of this study, is to determine if an investigational drug is safe and effective in the treatment of GERD in people who continue to experience GERD symptoms while receiving prescription and over-the-counter medications.
