When getting a PRP injection from Aspen Medical Group, you can expect to first give a small sample of blood. This blood sample will be processed in a centrifuge to isolate and concentrate the plasma. The PRP will be harvested from the blood sample and then injected into the affected area. When getting an amnion injection, the sample will be prepared ahead of time and will simply need to be injected into the affected area.
What Can I Expect After Getting A PRP Or Amnion Injection?
Immediately after your injection, you may experience some minor pain, irritation, or bleeding at the injection site that will generally fade within a few minutes. After leaving our office, you can resume your normal activities within 48 hours. It will generally take about 2-3 weeks before you notice results, however tissue regeneration will continue for months after the injection.
